Every entire time when I glance at the genesis of the universe, I realize how truly astonishing it is. I ponder about the fish in the sea, the birds in the blue, the creatures in the land, the insects in the air, the trees in the yard and the clouds above me. Every single aspect exposes beauty. The star, the mountain, the breeze, the oceans uniquely vary from one another. It is created flawlessly by our heavenly Father. Might sound unreal, right? It is what truth is. Even this flawless creation incorporates us. God created us like he created the surrounding elements. He made us uniquely different from the 7.5 billion people of this planet. If God would take time to make each thing in the galaxy unique and excellent, why would he not do the same for you and me?
“I will praise You, for [a]I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvellous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” Psalm 139: 14 (NKJV)
The human body is the most sophisticated yet unique organism in the world. That sophistication and uniqueness speak volumes about the intellect of its Maker. Every appearance of the body down to the least microscopic cell reveals that it is fearfully and wonderfully made. The multiple systems like cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, excretory, muscular, immune, hormonal system all work intricately together. All of these systems including hearing, tasting, visualizing, feeling textures and so on was uniquely designed to make us who we are.
“For You formed my inward parts; You [a]covered me in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13 (NKJV)
Sometimes in this fallen world, people are born with birth defects that disorganize one or even more of the intricate systems of the body. God foresaw those deficiencies and guess what? He uses them for good when we look at him. Even our weaknesses are wonderfully accepted. We might have seen a visually impaired person is able to develop hearing capability beyond the normal. Some people born with a congenital disorder such as without arms has developed the capacity to use their feet in an incredible way or without legs has developed the strength to use their upper body. It’s not only about physical disability, but we all also have some weaknesses that sometimes make us assume that we are of no use. But God’s grace is abundant to cover our weaknesses.
Once it was hard for me to understand that I am God’s masterpiece. You might have thoughts like these too? If so, stop right there and take a look at yourself. Never permit the falsehoods of this fallen world to create any doubt on what and how God has made you. Cause that’s not how our Creator thinks.
